How to use:

To clean/treat small areas - wet the area using a sponge and warm water, then squeeze a walnut-sized amount of shampoo onto the palm of your hand and dab it onto the area a little at a time. Gently massage the area, producing a lovely soft lather. You may need to add more product in the same manner, depending on the size of the area, the time of year and how much cleansing is required!

For a luxurious bath there are two different ways to give your horse a treat.
1. For best results, wet your horse all over with warm (never hot) water, using either a sponge or a gentle shower. Add 15-20mls of the shampoo to a litre bottle of clean warm water and squirt the dilution onto the horse/pony starting at the top of the mane gently rubbing the area with your other hand. Gradually work your way all over the horses body (or just the area you wish to wash), refilling the bottle when needed depending on the size of your horse or pony, the time of year, and how dirty it is!

Now for the lovely bit – use a soft brush to massage deep into your horse’s coat taking care to avoid getting product or water in his/her eyes or ears. Take your time so that both you and your best friend can enjoy the soothing and calming effect of the sandalwood and frankincense essential oils.

2. Fill a bucket (or more, depending on the size of your best friend) with warm water, add approximately 30mls of shampoo and agitate gently to thoroughly mix. Use a sponge to apply the soapy water to your horse’s coat, then use a soft brush to massage and indulge both of you as described above.

Whichever method you use, rinse thoroughly with warm water, and use a scraper to remove excess liquid from the coat. You should never leave your horse wet, so this stage is very important. Ideally take your horse for a walk or gently lunge him/her until thoroughly dry and unless the weather is warm, use an appropriate rug to prevent your horse getting chilled when you return him/her to the stable.
